The Scottish Sun (print edition) are reporting that Walter Smith is interested in returning to coaching – but only in a mentoring role. With Malky Mackay suggested as a potential understudy. The Scotsman believe  Scot Gemmill is more likely to be the understudy.

 

However, the Daily Mail are reporting the complete opposite – stating that Smith would completely reject any long-term successor in his coaching staff, should he return to the national team.

 

West Ham will hold talks with David Moyes to extend his contract beyond this summer at the end of the season and don’t have plans to replace him, according to the Evening Express.
