Rangers completed the loan signing of Jason Cummings from Nottingham Forest on Monday. The striker will spend the rest of the season at Ibrox, with Rangers holding the option to buy him in the summer.


Stuart Armstrong underwent a hernia operation in Germany on Monday and is now expected to spend a spell on the sidelines as he recovers.


The Daily Record is reporting that Rangers have had a £300,000 big for Greg Docherty rejected, with Preston now joining the race for the Hamilton midfielder.


Aberdeen have rejected another bid from Hull City for Scott McKenna. Derek McInnes is adamant that the young defender will remain at Pittodrie.


Erik Sviatchenko is expected to join FC Midtjylland in Denmark until the end of the season. The defender has fallen out of favour at Celtic and is returning to his homeland.

St Mirren are expected to complete the double signing of Celtic’s Mark Hill and Oldham’s Ryan Flynn. Hill will join on loan while Flynn has already signed permanently.


Hearts have been made to wait in their efforts to sign Leon de Kogel. The striker travelled to Scotland last week, but the Jam Tarts have so far failed to agree a fee with Go Ahead Eagles.
