Jon Flanagan will join up with Steven Gerrard and the Rangers squad at their training camp in Spain after undergoing a medical. The 25-year-old is close to becoming the Ibrox club’s seventh summer signing after he was released by Liverpool. And he is full of remorse and deserves a second chance after being convicted of assaulting his girlfriend, that’s according to Rangers assistant manager Gary McAllister.

 

David Milinkovic won’t be re-joining Hearts after they pulled out of a deal due to the winger’s wage demands. A transfer fee had been agreed between the Tynecastle club and Genoa to make the 24-year-old a permanent signing.

 

Staying with Hearts, and Ali Crawford has joined Craig Levein’s squad on trial. The midfielder rejected a new contract with Hamilton Accies. Motherwell and Dundee United are also said to be interested in his services.

 

Leigh Griffiths has revealed he is close to signing a long-term deal to make him a Celtic player for life. He is currently under contract until 2021.

 

Hibs boss Neil Lennon will find out on Thursday whether he’ll be punished for his “aeroplane” celebration on the pitch during his side’s blockbuster 5-5 draw with Rangers on the final day of last season. The former Celtic manager could be hit with a possible four-match touchline ban.
