Sir Alex Ferguson underwent emergency surgery for a brain haemorrhage yesterday. In a statement, Manchester United said that the procedure had went “very well’ but that the former manager would need a period of intensive care to recover.

 

The Daily Mail are reporting that Odsonne Edouard is set to miss the Scottish Cup final after going off injured with a hamstring injury in Sunday’s victory over Hearts.

 

Fenerbahce manager Aykut Kocaman has dismissed rumours linking his senior defender, Martin Skrtel, with a move to Rangers. He said: “Martin Skrtel is an important part of the team. He won’t be going anywhere this summer. Why would he? He is happy here.”
