A number of media outlets are reporting that Steven Gerrard will be announced as the new Rangers manager today, with Gary McAllister joining him as assistant manager.

 

The Daily Record are reporting that one of the former Liverpool captain’s first signings will be central defender Martin Skrtel.

 

The Scottish Sun are reporting that Aberdeen and Crystal Palace are both hoping to sign 18-year-old Hamilton player Lewis Ferguson this summer when his contract expires. The paper also report that Accies are trying to sign David Templeton up to a new deal but his own contract also expires this summer.

Rangers have taken 20-year-old former defender, Thomas Isherwood, on trial. The players contract with Bayern Munich’s B team is set to expire this summer.
