The Daily Express (print edition) are reporting that Everton will make a move for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney this week. The fee they are willing to offer is said to be £25million and manager Marco Silva will apparently switch to another target if the Scottish champions demand more. Tottenham, Bournemouth and Wolves are also interested in the 21-year-old.


Former Hibs midfielder Dylan McGeouch will have a medical with Sunderland today. It comes after the 25-year-old Scotland midfielder rejected a new contract at Easter Road.

Rangers’ Europa League qualifying opponents, Shkupi, have insisted their preparations for facing Steven Gerrard’s side are not in disarray. This is despite the Bosnian side losing 3-0 to Celik Zenicam, who finished a dismal 11th in the Bosnian top flight, in their latest friendly.


Celtic striker Moussa Dembele will be ready and in good condition for the club’s Champions League qualifier against Alashkert. He has also lost weight according to Brendan Rodgers. The Frenchman missed the Scottish champions’ first two pre-season friendlies after picking up a knee knock.

Emilio Izaguirre says he turned down an offer to rejoin his former Celtic boss, Neil Lennon, at Hibernian because of disputes with agents. The Honduras left-back now looks set to complete a move to the MLS.


Scotland Under-21 defender Jamie McCart says spending last season with part-timers Alloa Athletic in League One helped him make the decision to leave Celtic and join Inverness Caledonian Thistle permanently.
