There’s a training complex to the south west of Edinburgh that looks like something thought…
Oriam, Scotland’s sports performance centre, has been open for a year now. It is the symbol of a better future for a number of sports in this country, including football. Located in the leafy campus of Heriot-Watt University, it’s an impressive sight.
Of course, Oriam is about more than just a state-of-the-art facility, though. It’s designed to bring through the next generation of Scottish footballers and sportsmen and women. It’ll all be for nothing if the output isn’t any better than what is already being produced.
We visited the facility to check things out for ourselves. You can read the full feature, and watch the accompanying video, here. But for now, here are some pictures of the complex that represents a lot for Scottish football.
